Buck Rogers Flashback:Where are they now?

You remember that show. Maybe you were just a kid like me and were intrigued by comics and heroes that filled your room in the form of posters and figurines and things of that nature.
The TV show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,  was a science fiction extravaganza that mesmerized many a youngster during it's run.Sadly, the popular show didn't last long.

The beloved series, though campy at times was enjoyed by many and featured Gil Gerard as Capt. William "Buck Rogers, who left Earth on an ill-fated mission, and was frozen, only to return to Earth 500 years later. The series
also featured Tim O'Connor as Dr, Huer and Erin Gray as Colonel Wilma Deering. Buck interacted with Huer and Deering along with his side-kick, a robot named Twiki.
Rogers and Twiki often got into tight spots as they performed their varius missions throughout the series. The first season also featured Pamela Hemsley as Princess Ardala  Later in season 2, the series takes a different route and becomes more like Star Trek. Dr. Huer os no longer on the show and new charcacters were brought in. Jay Garner portrayed General Asimov, Wilfred Hyde-White as Dr, Goodfellow, and Thom Christopher as Hawk.

Let's take a look and see where some of these actors are now.

Gil Gerard:

After Buck Rogers ended in 1981, Gerard appeared in various t.v series and movies, such as
Hear No Evil (1982), Sidekicks (1986) and E.A.R.T.H. Force(1990) Then in 1992, Gerard appeared on the reality tv show Code 3, which followed firefighters from different areas of the US as they respond to  emergency calls.
In January 2007, Gerard was the subject of the one-hour documentary Action Hero Makeover on the Discovery Health Channel, which documented his year-long progress after undergoing life-saving mini-gastric by-pass surgery in October 2005.
Gerard currently makes appearances at various events including Comic-cons that feature him as signs autographs, takes pictures and reminisces about his Buck Rogers days.

Erin Gray:

After Buck Rogers ended, Gray appeared on many television programs  and films in the 1980's including Magnum P.I. and Silver Spoons, which lasted for many seasons. She played as Kenny Rogers' love interest in the movie Six Pack in 1982. Gray, who these days is a casting director, writer and Tai-Chi instructor, still does an occasional acting role in various movies and t,v series. She also appears at several Comic-cons each year.

Tim O'Connor

After Buck Rogers went off the air, O'Connor appeared on several tv programs and movies, including the Dukes of Hazard(1982), the Naked Gun 2 1/2 The Smell Of Fear (1991) and Walker; Texas Ranger .(1995) O'Connor passed away at the age of 90 earlier this year after battling cancer for several years.

Thom Christopher
      "Hawk"

After the series, Christopher appeared in several soap operas, usually playing a villain. Most notably he played Mob Boss Carlo Hesser in the ABC soap One Life To Live. He also played Hesser's twin brother Mortimer Bern on the show. Christopher also appeared in movies and tv series icluding Murder She wrote,
